Platense drew 1-1 with Peñarol at the Ciudad de Vicente López stadium on Matchday 4 of the Copa Libertadores, a result that leaves them very close to sealing qualification in Group E.

Peñarol struck first thanks to a superb finish from Facundo Batista, but just a few minutes later Agustín Lagos managed to level the match, a result that leaves Platense on the verge of booking their place in the round of 16 of the international tournament.
