Serie A side Juventus have been attempting to keep Dusan Vlahovic beyond this summer but it seems like those attempts have now failed.
Vlahovic’s current deal runs out at the end of June. He was active in the goalscoring front towards the end of the campaign but ultimately, the Old Lady missed out on the Champions League.
Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that a key meeting took place between the parties earlier today and it has now ended. No more meetings will be held anymore, with the Bianconeri now having failed to reach an agreement over a renewal and Vlahovic is set to leave the Old Lady.
Vlahovic’s demands have proved to be out of reach for Juve and this has made a new deal effectively impossible.
Considering Vlahovic’s recent fitness troubles and how much he earns, the decision can go down well in Turin. The Serbian has been scoring enough despite all the problems but there is every chance Juve sign a younger, fitter and cheaper striker in the summer.
Besides, not having Champions League football also impacted this. It has taken away a chunk of the Old Lady’s finances, which will make a new signing more suitable to their financial structure.
