Dybala agrees new Roma deal, dashes Boca hopes | OneFootball

Paulo Dybala will stay at Roma after agreeing a new contract with the Italian club. According to SuperDepor.com, the forward has extended his deal until June 2027, on terms that include performance-related variables and bonuses.

The agreement also carries an option to add one further season. The Qatar 2022 World Cup winner had faced weeks of uncertainty after his previous contract expired on 30 June.

Boca had monitored his status, hoping to add an international star without paying a fee. His decision is a setback for the Argentine club.

Dybala’s desire to play the next UEFA Champions League, together with coach Gian Piero Gasperini’s request to retain key players, helped tip the balance in favour of the Giallorossi.

Boca will now seek alternative options in the market.
