Head coach Dino Toppmöller and his staff welcomed 21 outfield players and three goalkeepers to the Deutsche Bank Park training pitches on Wednesday morning, as Eintracht stepped up their preparations for Saturday evening’s primetime clash against Leipzig with an intensive, fast-paced session.

Quartet recovering from injury, Matanovic ill

Ebu Bekir Is, Mario Götze, Kaua Santos and Krisztián Lisztes continued their recoveries from injury, while Igor Matanovic was absent due to illness and Junior Dina Ebimbe trained away from the rest of the group. Götze, who suffered a hamstring injury at home to Tottenham Hotspur last week, did at least end up watching some of Wednesday’s session from the sidelines.
