This week marks the beginning of the October international break, the second of three breaks in the 2025/26 campaign before the turn of the year.
As teams push for 2026 World Cup qualification, there are 11 Celts on international duty with their nations.
After making a strong start to their qualification campaign, the Scotland national team will be aiming to maintain that with two more fixtures on the horizon.
Both Anthony Ralston and Kieran Tierney have been named in Steve Clarke’s squad, who will take on Greece and Belarus, both at Hampden Park.
Across the water, Liam Scales is also in action for Ireland after heading over to join up with his international team-mates.
The Celtic defender will be hoping to play his part as Ireland travel to face Portugal, before playing Armenia at the Aviva Stadium.
Benjamin Nygren has taken to life as an international player well, having already scored for his nation for the first time in the summer.
This break, the midfielder will be away with Sweden once more, with two home matches against Switzerland and Kosovo to look forward to.
Two of our goalkeepers will be on international duty in Europe, with Kasper Schmeichel and Viljami Sinisalo joining up with Denmark and Finland respectively.
Denmark, who are in the same qualification group as Scotland, also face Belarus and Greece, while Finland take on Lithuania and Netherlands.
Although Sebastian Tounekti and Tunisia face qualifying matches this break, they have in fact already qualified for the competition in the US next summer.
The winger will help his nation round off their campaign with matches against Sao Tome Principe and Namibia.
Another nation who have already qualified is Japan, and Daizen Maeda will once again join up with his country as they play out two friendly matches.
Japan take on Paraguay and Brazil over the next week as their preparation for the World Cup continues.
After a sterling start with Celtic, Marcelo Saracchi has been recalled to the Uruguay squad for friendlies against the Dominican Republic and Uzbekistan in Malaysia.
As hosts of the tournament next summer, USA also have their spot at the World Cup, and Cameron Carter-Vickers is back in the squad.
With fixtures against Ecudaor and Australia on the horizon, it will be another busy international break for the Celts at senior level.
There is representation at under-21s, with Colby Donovan representing the Scottish national team once more.
The young Scotland side will be looking to pick up their first points in European Championship qualifying as they take on Gibraltar and Azerbaijan.
