Eliezer Mayenda has officially signed for Rennes, completing the move on Sunday. The Spanish centre-forward, 21, has agreed a contract running to 2031.
According to L'Équipe, the Spain Under-21 international joins from Sunderland in a €20m transfer, excluding bonuses, after three seasons with the club.
He is Rennes' fourth signing of the window as the Bretons press on with a busy summer. Rennes are the fourth club of his professional career, after Sochaux, Hibernian and Sunderland.
Mayenda has said he is very happy to join and has previously described Ligue 1 as an underrated league.
He may, however, have to earn his place, with Esteban Lepaul leading the line after finishing last season as Ligue 1's top scorer with 21 goals.
