Three Lions get ready for Croatia test with emphatic 6-0 win over local amateur team
The Three Lions have been based in the United States for over a week now, playing two contrasting warm-up friendlies against New Zealand and Costa Rica.
Harry Kane scored the only goal as England laboured to victory over New Zealand, but there was a marked improvement in the 3-0 win over Costa Rica with Declan Rice, Anthony Gordon and Ollie Watkins all on target.
In an exercise for Thomas Tuchel’s side to fine-tune certain combinations and to run through set-piece routines ahead of facing Croatia on June 17, a friendly took place against Miami United at Palm Beach Gardens on Thursday.
Miami United are an amateur side, who play in the fourth tier of US football, but are the oldest football club in the city and are coached by Claudio Frean, who was once manager of the Haiti Under-20s national team.
"It will be a match according to our rules," Tuchel said. "It will not be 90 minutes, maybe 60 minutes, maybe 2 x 30 or 2 x 25. It is to get some minutes into the legs of players who didn't get minutes against Costa Rica."

Details of the training match, which was not played at full intensity, have been revealed and the biggest talking point is that Ivan Toney scored a hat-trick in a 6-0 win.
Highly-rated youngster Rio Ngumoha also got on the scoresheet with a curling effort from distance, while Arsenal’s Ethan Nwaneri and former Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson were on target.
No injuries have been reported from the training match, meaning England will face Croatia will a clean bill of health as they aim to get their World Cup campaign off to a positive start.
