Sam Alker, 17, has signed his first professional contract with Leeds United, the England youth attacking midfielder agreeing a two-year deal until 2028.
The club said in a statement that the highly rated midfielder will continue his development at Thorp Arch, adding their congratulations and excitement about his progress.
Last season he made 20 appearances for Rob Etherington’s Under-18s as he impressed for the academy side.
His displays earned three Under-21s outings towards the end of the campaign, starting with a debut away to Sunderland for Scott Gardner’s team. He then scored twice on his first start in the final match of the season against Leicester City.
Alker made his Under-16 debut for the Young Lions against Italy in 2024.
