Roma’s match against Cagliari today at the Unipol Domus was certainly not their best.
Gian Piero Gasperini’s team suffered a bitter defeat, dropping valuable points in their bid for Champions League qualification.
Roma failed to perform at their best, a match that was significantly impacted by Celik’s dismissal early in the second half. After the match, Evan Ndicka spoke at a press conference, expressing his disappointment with the defeat and the team’s performance.
“We’re not happy with how we played; we lost our heads and couldn’t stay focused. We’re disappointed because we also lost against a team we expected to win. We need to get our heads back up quickly because we need to focus on the next matches.”
When asked by a journalist whether the wind conditions had affected the Giallorossi, Ndicka replied: “No, Cagliari simply played a different game than us, and we weren’t good.”
Having lost the Cagliari match, Roma must now immediately focus on their next matches.
On Thursday, the team travels to Glasgow to face Celtic, while on Monday, December 15th, they host Como at the Olimpico. The Giallorossi must immediately put the last few games behind them to get back on track.
