Everton are looking to sign attacking reinforcements after losing Jack Grealish to a long-term foot injury.
Manager David Moyes has confirmed the 30-year-old needs to undergo surgery and is unlikely to feature again this season.
Everton have the option to make Grealish’s move permanent by paying Manchester City £50 million, but they may not avail that option after his injury blow.
According to The Athletic, Everton are interested in securing a loan deal for Chelsea’s Tyrique George.
However, they face competition from clubs in England and Europe for the talented youngster.
George has made 37 appearances across all competitions for Chelsea, with six goals and six assists to his name.
He has fallen down the pecking order after a host of attacking signings last summer.
Chelsea were open to sanctioning a permanent exit for George last summer, and he nearly joined Fulham for £22m.
The Blues are exploring loan options for the winger, and Everton want to sign him.
George is a versatile forward who can lead the attack and also play on the flanks. He is rated for his blistering pace, dribbling skills and technical ability.
Everton are yet to make a new signing this winter, with just days remaining in the transfer window.
Grealish’s injury leaves them short of options in attack, and George would be a useful acquisition.
