Liam Delap is a transfer target for Everton, who tried to sign him a year ago and will apparently now try again to secure him.
Chelsea are ready to get stuck into the final third of their season, but the summer’s transfer rumours are already warming up.
There’s the usual talk about players who might be coming in, but there’s also a few first team squad members who look set to the subject of departure stories all the way until September.
Sadly for Liam Delap, he’s one of them. Despite arriving just a year ago, and despite a lot of praise from his coach, his one Premier League goal so far means he’s bound to be considered vulnerable to a sale.

TeamTalk today claim that Everton have made him a “top target” for the summer, as the Toffees look to build on a solid base under David Moyes and take the team to the next level.
We’re not sure we believe that things have advanced beyond Everton just considering him a player they would want were he to be available. But there’s no denying it makes sense. Delap is hard working and physical, and seems very much a Moyes player.
They also apparently targeted him a year ago, before Delap chose to come to Chelsea. We can certainly see them being front of the queue if we decide we don’t want him.
There’s a long, long way to go in this story, but this could be the start of something.
Liam Rosenior is preparing his players for this afternoon’s game against Burnley, and has warned against complacency.
Rosenior also spoke about what a lovely luxury it was to have his group in training for multiple days, and revealed what he had worked on with them.
