The annual Gran Galà del Calcio is due to take place in Milan on Monday evening, when the Italian players’ association (AIC) will reveal the team of the season for the 2023-24 Serie A campaign, as well as the winners of a long list of categories including the coach and team of the year.

The awards are handed out based on achievements from the 2023-24 season, so there are some candidates on the list who no longer play in Serie A, such as former Bologna pair Riccardo Calafiori and Joshua Zirkzee, and former Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot.
