FC Bayern had an impressive 2025–26 season. The record champions secured three domestic titles. They also reached the semifinals of the Champions League. Several players performed at the highest level. But only one can be named Player of the Season.

Bayern Munich’s offense, in particular, featured several exceptional talents. Among them was Harry Kane, who posted an impressive goal tally. Luis Diaz, a new signing from Liverpool FC, also made a big impact right from his debut season.

The Player of the Season, however, is another offensive star. FC Bayern fans have decided that Michael Olise deserves this honor.

Olise Named Bayern Player of the Season

This comes as no surprise. After all, the Frenchman racked up an incredible 25 goals and 28 assists in 57 competitive matches for the German record champions last season. On top of that, he always contributes a great deal to FCB’s play, even beyond the statistics.

Every other vote in the FC Bayern Player of the Season 2025/26 poll went to Olise (51.4%), who secured this award ahead of Harry Kane and Luis Diaz. The record champions’ offensive stars thus dominated not only the season in general but also this award.

Olise has also already been officially named Player of the Season and honored by the DFL.

His coach, Vincent Kompany, also raves about the Frenchman whenever he’s asked about him. “I believe he can get even better. I’m not saying he needs to do anything differently. But I can see from his mentality and what I observe every day in training that there’s still room for improvement. That’s impressive,” he explained at a press conference toward the end of the season.

FC Bayern is well aware of the player’s quality and therefore wants to extend his contract from 2029 to 2031 as early as possible. Talks are expected to take place after the 2026 World Cup.
