West Brom target Felix Horn Myhre has joked about the lure of warmer weather as speculation over his next move grows.
ExpressAndStar.com reports that Albion are understood to be keen on the SK Brann midfielder to bolster head coach James Morrison's midfield options before the new Championship season, and that La Liga side Elche, based in Alicante, are also reportedly interested.
Asked where he would prefer to play, he said: "I honestly don't know." He added: "The temperature in Spain is tempting after a summer like this."
Myhre, 27, has seven Norway caps and is viewed as one of the Eliteserien’s standout midfielders. Typically operating as a number eight, he has about 18 months left on a contract running to December 2027.
With interest from multiple clubs, a bidding battle could develop for his signature. Bodo/Glimt and Brondby have also been linked.
Brann are the former club of West Brom striker Aune Heggebo, who joined for £4.7 million last summer. Myhre narrowly missed out on Norway’s World Cup squad, which included former Baggies defender Torbjorn Heggem.
