Fenerbahçe deny reports linking them to Stuttgart’s Demirović | OneFootball

In an official statement, Fenerbahçe denied rumors linking the club with a summer move for VfB Stuttgart’s Ermedin Demirović and AC Milan’s Rafael Leão. Since Thursday, reports have linked the Turkish side with the sought-after Stuttgart striker.

However, the official communication will now end any chances of the Bosnian striker joining the Turkish Super Lig club. Leeds United and Juventus are among other clubs rumored to be interested in signing the attacker who has a deal until 2028.

“The news published today in the press that our club is interested in Ermedin Demirovic, who plays for Stuttgart, is completely unfounded. Fenerbahçe Sports Club shall not make any transfer attempts on the player concerned.” reads Fenerbahçe’s clear statement.

Demirović scored 32 goals in 87 appearances for Stuttgart in the last couple of seasons. The Hamburg-born player started all four games for Bosnia and Herzegovina at the World Cup.
