Fenerbahce directors have left Milan after talks, discovering the conditions with which they could get a deal for Rafael Leao, but much depends on their Champions League qualification.

The Turkish delegation flew in yesterday with Cihan Kamer at the head of the negotiating team, then left again this afternoon.

They were heading to Poland, where tomorrow Fenerbahce will play a preliminary round Champions League tie against Gornik Zabrze.

Their presence in the tournament could well be a decisive factor in the race to sign Rafael Leao, so Galatasaray have the advantage there of already being qualified as Champions of Turkiye.

Besiktas are also still in the running, as only Turkish Super Lig sides seem genuinely ready to make an offer for the Portugal international.

Fresh developments are not expected anytime soon, so this could well drag on through the summer.
