Ferroviária reach Copa do Brasil Feminina quarters as 1-0 win boosts prize pot

Ferroviária are into the quarter-finals of the Copa do Brasil Feminina after a 1-0 home victory over Corinthians.

According to Globo.com, the qualification added R$ 120,000 to their earnings, taking the club’s total prize money so far to R$ 300,000.

As a top-flight side, Ferroviária entered in the third phase and received R$ 80,000 for participation. They then beat UDA-AL 8-0 to progress, collecting a further R$ 100,000.

Ferroviária will await the completion of the last 16 and the CBF draw to learn their quarter-final opponent. The next round will be played over two legs.

A place in the semi-finals is worth R$ 140,000. The team also remain in action in the Paulista and the Brasileiro this year.
