According to Il Messaggero, Gustav Isaksen refused to come on in the second half and Toma Basic rebuffed a post-match approach from president Claudio Lotito.

Lazio closed their season with a 2-1 win over Pisa, with Pedro marking his farewell by scoring the winner.

Isaksen was seen warming up yet did not enter. The episode was linked to dressing-room tension. He has contested the right-wing berth with Matteo Cancellieri this season, and the Italian started the finale.

After full-time, Lotito approached Basic during Pedro’s tribute to discuss the midfielder’s expected move to Venezia. Basic is out of contract and renewal talks were halted despite a prior agreement in principle. Lotito was said to be surprised by how quickly the deal developed and suggested Lazio were ready with a late offer.

Basic appeared uncomfortable, cut the exchange short and rejoined his team while making a gesture of irritation. The incidents capped an uneasy end to a turbulent campaign for the Biancocelesti.
