Juventus keep pursuing Alisson, but they have to go through Liverpool, and Davide De Gea could eventually emerge as a viable fallback. Luciano Spalletti is adamant about acquiring a veteran goalie, but the club won’t break the bank for it, Corriere dello Sport informs.
The Brazilian shot-stopper will meet the Reds to sort out his future and contractual situation. The English giants could propose an extension until 2028 to dilute his yearly salary. The player will ask for reassurances about his role, considering Giorgi Mamardashvili’s presence. If the parties didn’t come to an understanding, then his departure would become likely.
Juventus have sketched out their proposal for Alisson, while De Gea is merely an alternative for now. He agreed to a long-term deal upon signing with Fiorentina after a year out of football. He’ll talk with the new Viola hierarchy and evaluate in which direction the team is going. He has kept 19 clean sheets and allowed 83 goals in 69 Serie A matches. The Gigliati could be interested in Michele Di Gregorio.
According to TuttoSport, Juventus offered the Liverpool man a three-year contract with €4.5M wages. He’s making €8M currently. The Reds want to shave his salary as well. His club demands €15/20M, which is more than what the Bianconeri are willing to pay.
It’s an understandable stance after what happened with Di Gregorio, who, in the meantime, is bouncing back nicely, but it’s hard to gauge older players appropriately. The Spaniard has had a very enigmatic spell in Florence, alternating monster saves to blunder-prone stretches, seemingly based on how the rest of the team was faring.
