Leeds United’s final home match against Brighton on Sunday offers celebration and possible goodbyes.

According to Leeds Live, Illan Meslier has already had his Elland Road farewell and is unlikely to make the squad after a season without minutes. Alex Cairns is out of contract and Lucas Perri is set for the bench, while five others could bow out.

Facundo Buonanotte’s loan has faltered, after a tough FA Cup full debut at Birmingham he made only five of the next 15 squads and, injured before Tottenham, remains a doubt.

Karl Darlow’s contract ends this summer and Leeds are expected to seek an extension. At 35, he must weigh another year potentially as number two, and Farke offered hints without detail.

Joel Piroe is widely expected to leave after no league start since August and only 10 top-flight minutes since early February, though his 34 goals in 116 games merit a send-off.

Wilfried Gnonto’s future is less clear, his deal runs to 2027 with an option, he has not started since November but has three Premier League assists, and summer offers could prompt talks.

Sam Byram has played 85 minutes this season, is set to depart after last year’s one-year renewal and could get a final cameo after a Premier League outing against Arsenal and the captain’s armband versus Sheffield Wednesday.
