Flamengo are monitoring Paulo Dybala’s situation at Roma, where his contract runs to June. According to Coluna Do Fla, the club do not plan to push ahead with a deal for the 32-year-old forward.

Clubs are waiting while the Argentine recovers. He underwent surgery and has not played since January, and he is not expected to feature again for the capital side this season.

UOL recently linked Dybala with Flamengo and said he could arrive on a free. Boca Juniors are also monitoring him.

The Rio club’s stance reflects depth in Dybala’s role, with Arrascaeta, Jorge Carrascal and Lucas Paquetá all available.

Arrascaeta is first choice, although he has been managed for physical reasons. Lucas Paquetá has featured more regularly, while Jorge Carrascal has lost ground.
