Sunderland are being linked with a triple transfer push worth about £67m as Florent Ghisolfi shapes an ambitious summer rebuild.
TEAMtalk reports that Manchester City’s Rico Lewis is weighing up his future amid limited game time. The 21-year-old, valued at around £44m, wants regular football to protect his England prospects despite signing a long-term deal last year. Sunderland are named among suitors alongside Newcastle United, Everton, Fulham, Crystal Palace, Brentford and Brighton.
TEAMtalk also claims Sunderland are monitoring Blackburn Rovers defender Tom Atcheson, valued at around £10m. The 19-year-old has become a regular since his senior debut in December and is attracting interest from Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle.
Sport Witness relays that Almeria playmaker Sergio Arribas, 24, remains on Sunderland’s radar at around £13m, with Ghisolfi considered a long-term admirer. If Sunderland pursued Lewis, Atcheson and Arribas, the combined spend could reach roughly £67m.
Football Insider reports that Chelsea have strong interest in Sunderland goalkeeper Robin Roefs ahead of the summer window. The 23-year-old is reportedly valued at up to £60m, with Liverpool and Manchester City also monitoring. He is expected to return to the starting XI after the international break following injury.
