Sunderland are being linked with an ambitious summer rebuild under Florent Ghisolfi, with three primary targets emerging as the club plans its next Premier League phase.

TEAMtalk reports that Manchester City’s Rico Lewis, 21, is weighing up his future amid limited minutes and is valued at about £44m. Sunderland are among several Premier League clubs credited with interest as he looks for regular football despite a long-term deal.

TEAMtalk adds that Sunderland are monitoring Blackburn Rovers defender Tom Atcheson, 19, valued around £10m, who has become a regular since his December debut. Manchester United, Tottenham and Newcastle are also said to be tracking him.

Sport Witness says long-standing target Sergio Arribas of Almeria, 24, remains on the radar at roughly £13m, with a move potentially revisited to add creativity. Pursuing Lewis, Atcheson and Arribas would total about £67m, a possible statement of intent under Ghisolfi.

Football Insider reports Chelsea have strong interest in goalkeeper Robin Roefs, 23, who is valued at up to £60m, with Liverpool and Manchester City monitoring. The Dutchman is expected to return to Sunderland’s starting XI after the international break following injury.
