Former Gabon international Yrondu Musavu-King has died aged 34.
Stade Malherbe Caen said in a statement that it had learned of his death with sadness, confirming the passing of their former defender on Friday.
Born in Gabon, he moved to France at the age of two and developed in Normandy with SC Hérouville and USON Mondeville before joining Caen’s academy.
He later played for Lorient in 2016 on loan from Spanish side Granada, then joined Le Mans for the 2019-2020 season.
Musavu-King finished his professional career with Bengaluru FC in India at the end of the 2021-2022 campaign, and won 12 caps for Gabon.
