Ange-Yoan Bonny is becoming a decisive weapon for Inter Milan. The French forward produced another outstanding performance at the Stadio Olimpico in the 1–0 win over Roma, confirming his rapid rise as a central figure in Cristian Chivu’s attack.

With three goals and three assists in his first seven Serie A appearances, Bonny has matched the productivity of a top-level striker and ensured that the Nerazzurri have not missed the injured Marcus Thuram.

His impact has gone beyond simple numbers – timing, aggression, vertical runs and personality have already made him a reference point for Chivu’s system.

Inter’s official website highlighted a series of historic milestones after Roma vs Inter:

  • Bonny’s goal at 6 minutes is the fastest Inter strike against Roma in Serie A since 2011, when Wesley Sneijder scored after three minutes at San Siro.
  • With 3 goals and 3 assists in 7 league matches, Bonny becomes the first Inter player since the Serie A returned to 20 teams (2004/05) to hit both numbers so early in a season.
  • He has participated in more goals than any other Inter player so far, and has now scored in back-to-back league matches for the first time in his Nerazzurri career.
  • Inter have become the first side in Serie A history to win five consecutive away matches against Roma, with an aggregate score of 11–2 at the Olimpico in that run.
  • Bonny’s strike also helped Inter reach 300 all-time Serie A goals against Roma – another historic first, as no club had ever reached that total against a single opponent in the Italian top flight.

At just 21, Bonny is proving to be more than a stand-in. He is pushing, convincing, and delivering – one goal at a time.
