Eintracht Frankfurt could keep Junior Dina Ebimbe for the upcoming season, leaving Schalke awaiting a decision.

According to BuLi News, the player was close to joining Schalke 04, but a turnaround is now possible with new head coach Adi Hütter taking a different view. The Austrian has already given him minutes at the start of pre-season.

Markus Krösche had been working on a permanent transfer for the Cameroonian after a successful loan at Brest. Newly-promoted Schalke had reached total agreement with the player, but now risk a late snub.

Whether Ebimbe signs a new deal in Frankfurt could prove decisive. Under his current terms, he would be a free agent at the end of the upcoming season.

The former PSG player last played regularly for Frankfurt in the 2023/24 campaign.
