Frederico Varadas spent more than an hour meeting Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport Margarida Balseiro Lopes, but he did not meet André Villas-Boas, who had also requested an audience.

According to O Jogo, both engagements took place at Campus XXI, the former Caixa Geral de Depósitos headquarters.

The pair almost crossed in the corridors, yet there was no exchange or tension as they did not see each other.

On arrival, Villas-Boas said he was pleased to be received by the Sports Minister and to clarify alleged incidents.

Varadas has already spoken to journalists, again criticising Porto’s stance, and a response from Villas-Boas is awaited once his meeting concludes.
