Paulo Dybala’s future at Roma continues to dominate the headlines not only in Italy, but also in Argentina. After weeks of rumors and declarations of intent from management, Boca Juniors has reportedly taken action.

According to TyCSports, the Xeneize club has conducted the first official inquiries with the Joya’s entourage.

Boca’s move, with vice president Riquelme at the forefront, is motivated by their desire to secure the striker for the upcoming Copa Libertadores.

The Xeneizes’ main plan was to move midway through next year, when Dybala could be freed up with his contract expiring in 2026.

However, the player’s current lack of playing time and Riquelme’s desire to have him at La Bombonera immediately could accelerate the process.

This strong interest comes amid uncertainty over Dybala’s future in the capital. In recent days, Delgado, a member of Boca Juniors’ Football Council, had openly expressed the club’s desire: “We hope to be able to make an effort, beyond our means,” adding that his contract with Roma expires in 2026.

Rumors of a possible early return to Argentina were also fueled by rumors, later denied, regarding an alleged attempt by Dybala’s brothers to negotiate an early termination with Roma, with the player ready to forgo the remainder of his contract in order to be released at no cost.

Although the contractual situation remains complex, Boca Juniors’ official approach makes the future of the Giallorossi player increasingly uncertain.
