The international break has had some interesting twists for Chelsea already – Pedro Neto and Enzo Fernandez have pulled out of international duty with Portugal and Argentina respectively after reporting with chronic injuries they’re dealing with.
Meanwhile the reverse happened for Trevoh Chalobah, who has been called up for England duty after Marc Guehi pulled out of Thomas Tuchel’s squad.

The Dutch FA’s Tweet about Emegha.
Similar things are going on on at our sister club Strasbourg. Emmanuel Emegha, who has recently returned from injury with a bang and scored twice at the weekend in an impressive win over Lille, has just been added to Ronald Koeman’s Netherlands squad to replace Wout Weghorst.
Emegha is having a tricky season – on the field these persistent injury problems have limited his game time, and off the pitch the announcement of his move to Chelsea caused backlash from the fans.
“Ronald Koeman has added Emmanuel Emegha to the squad in Zeist,” a statement from the Dutch FA read.
“The striker’s call-up is due to Wout Weghorst’s physical condition. The Ajax player is not fully fit, and the coming days will determine his availability for [the Poland game].”
What a superb chance for Emegha to put a difficult start to the season behind him and bag a first international goal…
Poor Raheem Sterling is having a tough time off the pitch as well as on it. He was the subject of a second home invasion in the space of 3 years over the weekend.
In other international news, Trevoh Chalobah finally got his latest England call up after Marc Guehi pulled out of the Three Lions squad. We reckon he can make the final squad next summer if he impresses in the next fortnight.
