Gabriel Jesus says his Arsenal situation has changed and his future is unclear, though he insists his focus remains on the club.

According to Globo.com, he said: "I have a contract with Arsenal. My situation has changed from what it was, but my main focus remains Arsenal and helping the coach. When the season ends, then we start to think."

After injuries and new signings, he is no longer an automatic starter under Mikel Arteta. His deal runs to 30 June 2027, so he could agree a pre-contract from January next year, with Palmeiras often mentioned despite European interest.

He does not see himself as a Palmeiras idol. "I did not stay long, I won two titles, 2015 Copa do Brasil and 2016 Brasileirão, which ended a 22-year wait, and nobody wins a championship alone."

For him, long-serving names such as Raphael Veiga, currently on loan to América do México, Gustavo Gómez and Abel Ferreira fit that status. He notes he won 11 trophies at Manchester City yet is not regarded as an idol there either.

On a possible return, he said: "I have to receive a proposal from Palmeiras. My relationship with the club is very good, I am immensely grateful. I want to go back one day and win more, it is a very strong desire."

He often trains at Palmeiras when in Brazil and has had what he calls excellent talks with Abel, whom he considers the club’s greatest coach, and he spoke optimistically about titles in 2026.
