Galatasaray have made Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Can Uzun their marquee summer target, and Okan Buruk has confirmed the club’s interest.
“I believe it's obvious that he's a very interesting player. He’s also a Turkish player.” He told Sky Sports.
Uzun, 20, represented Türkiye at the World Cup and is under contract at Eintracht Frankfurt until 2029.
“Should the conditions for all sides arise that we could reach an agreement, then we can imagine the transfer very well. But it has to make sense and happen with mutual respect.”
The Regensburg-born attacker has scored 12 Bundesliga goals for Eintracht Frankfurt since arriving from Nürnberg. Nathaniel Brown, who joined from Nürnberg with him, completed a summer move to FC Bayern last month.
Eintracht Frankfurt are reportedly asking for €60 million, while Galatasaray are preparing a €40 million bid, per Fussballdaten. Roma, Napoli and AC Milan also showed interest in a summer move for the eight-time Turkish international.
