Pep Guardiola needs to sell before he can buy...
Gianluigi Donnarumma is closing in on a move to Manchester City, but another deal could prevent him from completing the transfer.
The Italian goalkeeper was put up for sale by Paris Saint-Germain earlier this month after being left out of Luis Enrique’s plans for the season.
Despite helping the Parisians to a first Champions League win last season, the club opted to replace him with 23-year-old Frenchman Lucas Chevalier, signed from Lille in a deal worth as much as €55million (£47.6m).
City were among the first to look to take advantage of Donnarumma’s situation, and have moved quickly in pursuing a deal.
Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano reported on Sunday morning that the Italian, widely considered to be among the best goalkeepers in world football, had agreed personal terms with City, and that talks were continuing between clubs.

A deal is expected to fall below PSG’s initial asking price of €50m (£43.3m).
No contracts can be signed, though, until City can create space in the squad by completing the sale of Ederson.
They are flush for shot-stoppers after re-signing James Trafford from Burnley earlier this summer for £31m.
Ederson, 32, had been in talks over a move to Galatasaray, but negotiations seem to have slowed in recent days as the Turkish giants divert their attention to Porto’s Diogo Costa. They are yet to lodge a convincing bid for Ederson, and saw an offer of €10m rejected in early August.
Ederson is valued by City at €35m (£30.3m), and is in the last year of his contract.
The Brazilian missed the start of the Premier League season with gastroenteritis, but has returned to training this week and was named to the bench as City were beaten 2-0 at home by Tottenham.
Galatasaray are also looking to bring in Manuel Akanji before the transfer window closes, and have reportedly been in talks over a £15m deal.
