Gila hints at Lazio goodbye with reflective message after Pisa win | OneFootball

Mario Gila has posted a reflective message to Lazio supporters that reads like a farewell. According to Football Italia, his agent says there has been no new contract offer.

The defender featured in last night's 2-1 win over Pisa at the Stadio Olimpico, then shared an Instagram note that appeared to look beyond this campaign.

He is widely expected to move on at the end of the season, with Inter, Milan, Juventus and Napoli among those keen on a €25m move.

Gila's deal runs until June 2027.

In his post he said he had given everything for the badge and was proud of the player he has become at Lazio, while thanking team-mates for their support and the memories.

He also thanked his partner Eleonora for standing by him in difficult times and for their family.

Gila hailed Pedro as a legend of the game and an example of humility and desire to win, adding that he will be missed.

He joined Lazio in 2022 and has made 36 appearances this season across Serie A and the Coppa Italia.
