Leeds United edged a point closer to safety but lacked a cutting edge in a 0-0 draw with Brentford at Elland Road.

Defences dominated before the break, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin beating Caoimhín Kelleher to a looping cross that was cleared, and Igor Thiago scuffing a half chance after troubling Jaka Bijol. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, chief football writer Graham Smyth was at Elland Road to assess the performances.

The second half followed a similar pattern, both sides enjoyed brief spells without carving out a clear opening. Farke turned to Noah Okafor and Ao Tanaka among his substitutes, but a late push did not yield a breakthrough.

The ratings reflected the stalemate. Karl Darlow received seven for a largely sound display, his kicking mixed at times. Joe Rodon and Jaka Bijol were given six apiece after combative work without penetration.

Pascal Struijk was marked five, shaky before the interval but steadier after, with a few driving runs. Jayden Bogle was also given five after lacking composure in attack, while Ethan Ampadu earned six for urgency and a fine long pass that fashioned a half chance for Bogle.
