Pep Guardiola is one of four men shortlisted for the Premier League Manager of the Month award for September.

The Catalan led us to two wins and a draw in our three league games across the month, scoring a league-high nine goals in that time.

An emphatic 3-0 victory over local rivals Manchester United kickstarted September, thanks to a Phil Foden header and Erling Haaland brace.

We came within minutes of a win at Arsenal the following week before rounding out the month with a 5-1 thrashing of Burnley.

Guardiola will now go up against Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta, Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner and Sunderland manager Regis Le Bris for this.

Should he win, it would be his 12th Premier League Manager of the Month award – making him the third most successful man in the history of the prize.

This follows news earlier in the day that Haaland is on the shortlist for the Premier League Player of the Month owing to five goals and an assist in three games.
