Noni Madueke and Declan Rice starred for England as they beat Andorra 2-0 in their World Cup qualifier at Villa Park alongside their Arsenal teammates Eberechi Eze and Myles Lewis-Skelly.

16 Gunners stars were called up to their national teams for World Cup qualifiers this week, with Riccardo Calafiori, Viktor Gyokeres and Cristian Mosquera also all in action this weekend.

Bukayo Saka missed out on the England squad through fhenhamstring injury he suffered against Leeds earlier this season but his absence paved the way for Madueke to make his mark in an England shirt.

The winger’s direct running caused chaos for the Andorra defence and it was no surprise that it was his cross that led to the opening goal for England as Christian Gonzalez headed the dangerous ball in into his own net.

England’s second goal also came from an Arsenal player as Rice headed in Reece James’ cross at the back post to seal the three points.

Eze played 78 minutes before being replaced by Morgan Gibbs-White and Lewis-Skelly played the full 90 minutes at left-back.

England are now five points clear at the top of group K and face Serbia on Tuesday who are second in the group.

Elsewhere, Gyokeres kept up his good start at Arsenal for Sweden.

Since Arsenal brought in the Swede from Sporting CP this summer, he has scored twice for the Gunners and started all three Premier League matches so far.

He was part of Sweden’s starting 11 against Slovenia and assisted Yasin Ayari for his side’s second in a 2-2 draw.

Meanwhile, defended Riccardo Calafiori played 90 minutes for Italy as they thrashed Estonia 5-0.

And finally, fellow defender Cristian Mosquera was in action for Spain’s Under-21s as they beat Cyprus 3-0. Like Calafiori, he was a key part of his side not conceding.

Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard, Brazil’s Gabriel Magalhaes and Gabriel Martinelli and Spanish duo Mikel Merino and Martin Zubimendi all played on Thursday evening, meanwhile.
