Habib Diarra has joined Roc Nation Sports International and underlined his commitment to Sunderland and Senegal after featuring at the World Cup.

According to Sunderland Echo, the 22-year-old became the 12th Roc Nation client to appear at the finals, helping Senegal reach the round-of-32 before a 3-2 loss to Belgium earlier this month. He now aims to impress as Sunderland enter the Europa League for the first time in their history.

Founded by Jay-Z in 2013, the agency represents Vinicius Junior, Saquon Barkley and Maro Itoje.

Diarra described the move as a proud moment for his family. His focus remains on giving everything for club and country, and he chose representatives aligned with his off-field ambition. Early talks convinced him they value him as a person, and he is excited for the next step.

Roc Nation hailed him a phenomenal talent and set out a 24/7, white-glove service to empower athletes and celebrate authentic stories. It views him as embodying the agency's drive, resilience and ambition, and aims to elevate his success on and off the field.

Four former Sunderland players then landed the Cock O' The North Golf Trophy at Ramside Hall, beating rivals from Newcastle United and Middlesbrough in a Stableford event.

Richie Pitt, Kevin Phillips, Gordon Armstrong and Danny Collins won on the Prince Bishops Course with 117 points, ahead of Boro on 113, with Newcastle third on 90. SFPA chair Pitt organised the revival with Ramside course ranger Berwick Hall and thanked sponsor Mark Foster.
