Harry Kane on Jobe Bellingham: “His future is bright.” | OneFootball

Bayern Munich extended their unbeaten run to the start of their season with a 2-1 Der Klassiker win against Borussia Dortmund in Matchday 7’s Bundesliga Topspiel.

The Englishman gave Germany’s record champions a 1-0 lead before Jobe Bellingham’s decisive error handed Bayern a 2-0 lead. The 20-year-old carried the ball into the six-yard box and was only able to clear the ball against the onrushing Michael Olise.

Bellingham has come in for a lot of criticism of late, while he’s been unhappy with his playing time but key figures have rallied around the youngster. Niko Kovac immediately defended Bellingham after the game, while Sebastian Kehl went into the dressing room, urging Dortmund’s midfielder not to dwell and to overcome his mistake.

Fellow countryman Harry Kane also had his say on Jobe, saying: “I spoke to him after the game and told him to keep doing what he’s been doing and to keep working hard. He’s a great player with a lot of potential. I’m sure he’d like to play more right now, but that’s part of the learning process at this level. His future is bright; he just needs to keep working hard.”
