It was a night to remember for our Scottish Celts as Kieran Tierney and Anthony Ralston as they joined their fellow Scottish squad members in celebrating a historic result at Hampden last night.

Not only did Tierney play his part having come off the bench, but the full-back also scored a wonder-strike in the dying moments to seal a place at next summer’s tournament.

Steve Clarke’s side knew a victory against the Danes was needed in what was a dramatic night at Hampden Park with one goal as memorable as the next in the 4-2 victory.

With the match heading towards the closing stage and the score remaining all square at 2-2 thanks to Scott McTominay and Lawrence Shankland scoring for the Scots, up stepped Kieran Tierney to guide home a wonderful strike and send the National Stadium into pandemonium, before another wonder-goal, this time from Kenny McLean put the ising on the cake.

Both Celts have had their part to play in qualification for the tournament for the first time since 1998, with both Ralston and Tierney featuring throughout the campaign.

But it had to be the Celtic man who stepped up and scored to put Scotland in the driving seat at Hampden, with the team now heading to the World Cup in 2026.
