Kyril Louis-Dreyfus has presided over Sunderland’s resurgence since becoming majority shareholder in February 2021. Here is how his reported net worth compares with other Premier League owners.
According to Sunderland Echo, Sunderland rank 15th in the ownership wealth table, with Louis-Dreyfus listed at £2.8bn.
Newcastle United’s owners top the list at £723.3bn. Manchester City follow on £24.5bn, with Manchester United at £20.5bn, Chelsea at £19bn and Arsenal at £16.1bn.
Sunderland’s figure places them just above Bournemouth at £2.7bn and Brighton at £1.3bn, and behind Everton at £7.1bn and Aston Villa at £8.1bn.
Since his arrival, Sunderland have climbed from League One to the top flight with two promotions, including a Championship play-off final win at Wembley that ended a nine-year absence. Head coach Regis Le Bris then oversaw a campaign that finished with Europa League qualification, only the second European entry in the club’s history.
Louis-Dreyfus, 28, is a regular at home and away matches and remains a popular figure among supporters.
