Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca seems a little unsure about the future with his latest comments this week.

Maresca’s job as Chelsea head coach seems to be very safe as things stand even after pressure started growing already in September, but we know how quick things can change and as Maresca admits this business is about getting results.

And now, we are hearing noise about Juventus being interested in bringing Maresca in as their new manager should they make a change soon, which they very well might. So the noise is there even if we all expect Maresca to stay at Chelsea this season at the very least.

The Blues boss has won two trophies last season and got the club back into the Champions League again, so you would feel that he is meeting current targets at the club. Winning the Club World Cup in the summer was a very good achievement for Maresca and his side.

Maresca will need to keep getting results because at the end of the day, Chelsea are a business and the goal is to win games in order to make the maximum amount of profits for said business. Maresca will know very well that if results turn then his Chelsea story could easily be over.

Maresca seems a bit unsure

So naturally, he will not be getting carried away by anything and sounds a little unsure on the future in his latest comments, relayed on X today.

The Italian said:

“Chelsea is a legendary, enormous club. The strategy now is to proceed with long contracts, trust young players. Football business then is about results. In this moment, results are good and we’re all very happy.”
