Inter Milan will overhaul their defense ahead of next season.
The Nerazzurri have swooped in for Udinese’s Solet, but the overhaul doesn’t end with his arrival.
Acerbi, De Vrij (a renewal is not certain), and Bisseck (several suitors, including Bayer Leverkusen) are all on the way out, which is why Marotta and Ausilio are considering Evan Ndicka.
The Roma defender will play in the World Cup with the Ivory Coast, with whom he has already won an Africa Cup of Nations.
The 1999-born defender was a target for Inter when Bastoni seemed close to leaving, and now he could be Bisseck’s numerical replacement. Much will depend on the Giallorossi’s demands.
Roma must generate capital gains by June 30 to comply with the settlement agreement with UEFA, and Ndicka is one of the likely candidates for departure.
As La Gazzetta dello Sport reports, Inter have set their sights on the Ivorian defender and are maintaining contact with the player’s entourage.
The 1999-born defender’s valuation could be around €30 million, a significantly lower figure than Koné (€50 million), another player being eyed by the Nerazzurri club, but one Roma have been keeping a close eye on.
