Years pass and forwards change but Inter Milan’s one constant remains Lautaro Martinez: the Argentine captain enters his eighth season in Milan and will line up this evening alongside another new attacking partner, Ange-Yoan Bonny.
As noted by the Gazzetta dello Sport, Lautaro has seen many faces beside him in attack over the years: from Mauro Icardi and Romelu Lukaku to Edin Dzeko and Marcus Thuram.
Now, as Inter continue their evolution under Cristian Chivu, the Argentine leads the line once more whilst helping guide younger forwards into the squad.

According to the report, Bonny will start against Cremonese, with teenager Francesco Pio Esposito also part of the rotation.
The Frenchman was signed from Parma in the summer whilst Pio was promoted to the first team from the youth system.
For both, Lautaro’s role extends beyond goals: he’s now the mentor figure in a team blending experience and emerging talent.
The Gazzetta sums it up neatly: Inter may change their attackers but their captain “remains the heartbeat of the Nerazzurri.”
Inter host Cremonese at San Siro on Saturday evening, with the match set to kick-off at 18:00 local time.
