Inter Milan are among the clubs tracking Sassuolo midfielder Ismael Kone as they plan a significant midfield overhaul this summer, with AC Milan, Juventus and Roma all competing for the same player.
According to Gazzetta, Sassuolo value the Canadian midfielder at between €20-30 million, a fee that makes him a more accessible option than Manu Koné of Roma, who commands around €40 million.
Inter are monitoring both players simultaneously.
Manu Koné remains the priority target, but Ismael Koné represents a younger and cheaper alternative worth serious consideration.
The competition is fierce. Juventus, Milan and Roma have all registered interest in Ismael Koné alongside Inter.
That four-way battle will inevitably drive up the price, though Sassuolo’s €20-30 million valuation remains relatively manageable for clubs of this level.
Inter’s midfield will look very different next season.
Calhanoglu’s future is uncertain, Frattesi wants to leave, and Mkhitaryan departs when his contract expires.
Therefore, the likes of Kone could be part of a huge overhaul.
Bringing in fresh energy and quality in that area of the pitch is not optional, it is essential.
Especially given Inter’s history of more experienced players in the heart of midfield, and current squad options.
