Inter Milan are unlikely to sell striker Marko Arnautovic during the January transfer window despite links to Torino.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews.
Arnautovic’s name has been at the centre of some transfer rumours over the past couple weeks.
Reportedly, Torino are targeting the Austrian international.
The Granata will sign a striker during the January transfer window. This will be to make up for the long-term absence of Duvan Zapata, out with a serious knee injury.
And Torino’s priority would be to sign a striker with a similar profile to the Colombian.
Inter striker Arnautovic has a fairly similar profile to Zapata.
Like Zapata, the former Stoke City, West Ham United, and Bologna striker is a strong physical presence in attack.
And Arnautovic has plenty of experience, and has proven himself in Serie A.
Therefore, it is understandable why Torino would consider the 35-year-old as a target.
Moreover, Sky report, Inter would consider offers for Arnautovic.
The Austrian is far from a regular starter for Inter. Particularly with the re-emergence of Joaquin Correa as a potential starter.
However, the Nerazzurri are in no rush to force Arnautovic out. He is an experienced and reliable player who gives the squad additional depth in attack.
Therefore, any bids for Arnautovic would have to be suitable.
And according to Sky, there is no indication that Torino will make an offer that would convince Inter.
