According to Sky Sport via FCInterNews, the 26-year-old will return to Appiano Gentile sooner than expected.

Despite Italy’s thumping win at Estonia on Saturday, Alessandro Bastoni failed to live up to expectations.

Indeed, blasted for a ‘careless performance,’ Bastoni picked up a disqualifying yellow card in Italy’s 3-1 triumph in Tallinn.

Therefore, he will not be at Gennaro Gattuso’s disposal tomorrow.

Unavailable for selection, Bastoni will reportedly leave the Azzurri camp tomorrow.

Furthermore, he should arrive at Appiano Gentile later in the day to join Inter’s preparations for Saturday’s clash against Roma.

Though his performance against Estonia was underwhelming, Bastoni remains a key player for Inter.

Indeed, he has gone from strength to strength this season, rediscovering his form under Cristian Chivu.

As such, he will likely be in the starting lineup at the Stadio Olimpico this weekend as Inter aim to reduce a three-point deficit to Roma.
