Inter have identified a new target for their defensive rotation as they prepare for a scouting mission this weekend.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Nerazzurri management will keep a close eye on Tariq Muharemovic during Sunday’s Serie A clash against Sassuolo. Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio are reportedly intrigued by the Bosnian defender for two primary reasons.
First is his age; at 22, he represents a long-term investment for a backline that will eventually need to be rejuvenated. The second is his tactical flexibility, as his ability to play both as a central defender and as a left-sided cover makes him an ideal profile for Cristian Chivu’s three-man defense.
Muharemovic arrived at Sassuolo from Juventus, and his performances in Emilia have been consistent enough to alert several top clubs. Inter are looking to gather more data on his growth before deciding whether to open negotiations with their rivals in Turin.
The report also clarifies the potential cost of such an operation. At the bottom of the article, it is noted that the valuation for the youngster currently sits at approximately €25 million, a figure that Inter consider sustainable as they look to add depth and versatility to their squad for the 2026-27 season.
