As with Borussia Dortmund, Julian Ryerson is a regular at right-back for the Norwegian national team, as he was in the Scandinavians’ final World Cup warm-up match against Morocco. In Harrison, New Jersey, Ryerson was one of only two players to play the full 90 minutes, and his place in the starting line-up is considered secure. After providing two assists a week ago in the friendly against Sweden, he failed to contribute to a goal this time in the draw against the North Africans – perhaps he’ll be on the scoresheet again when things get serious for the Norwegians at the World Cup. Ryerson and his teammates will play their first match against Iraq on 17 June (kick-off at midnight CEST).

Centre-back Luca Reggiani made his first-ever appearance for the Italian national team. After his BVB teammates Filippo Mane and Samuele Inacio had already made their debuts for the Azzurri senior side a few days ago against Luxembourg, Reggiani followed suit in the friendly in Greece. However, the 18-year-old would certainly have imagined his debut differently. just 13 minutes after coming on as a substitute in the second half (55th minute), Reggiani was sent off with a red card following a professional foul (68th minute). Filippo Mane came on shortly after the break, while Inacio did not feature.
