FC Bayern appears to be on the verge of finalizing the most important signing of the summer. Harry Kane is expected to extend his contract with the German record champions shortly. According to information from BILD soccer editor Christian Falk, the club and the player have already reached an agreement on the key terms of the new contract.

While official talks between Bayern Munich officials and the England national team captain have yet to take place, there no longer appear to be any real obstacles.

As Christian Falk reports, Kane is looking for a long-term future in Munich—and that is exactly what Bayern intends to offer him. According to the report, the striker is set to receive a new contract with a minimum term running through the summer of 2029. His current contract runs through the end of the 2026–27 season.

An agreement is also said to have already been reached on the financial terms. According to Falk, Kane will continue to earn around 25 million euros gross per year. A pay cut is therefore not on the table.

The final contract negotiations are set to take place immediately after FC Bayern’s trip to Asia. Kane will rejoin the team in the second week of August following his extended World Cup break and is then expected to work out the final details with club officials.

There has been repeated speculation recently about a possible return of the 33-year-old to the Premier League. Alan Shearer’s record, in particular, was seen as a potential incentive for a move back to England.

However, according to information from Falk, these speculations do not reflect reality. Reportedly, Kane is far less interested in the goal-scoring record than in winning more titles with FC Bayern.

The journalist also cites a source directly involved in the negotiations. This source emphasizes that the Englishman feels extremely at home in Munich. “Harry Kane loves Bayern Munich, and Bayern Munich loves Harry Kane,” Falk quotes the source as saying.

Statements by Honorary President Uli Hoeneß also point in the same direction. Most recently, the 74-year-old stated that he sees no reason why Kane should leave FC Bayern. The forward is not only a role model on the field but also impresses on every level as a person.

If the contract is indeed signed in the coming days, it would send an important signal for the future of the record-holding champion. With Kane, one of the world’s best strikers would remain tied to FC Bayern for the long term.
