Jack Grealish has been linked with a move away from Manchester City, and there are now strong indications that a summer exit could be on the cards.

According to the Telegraph, the England international is not expected to be part of Pep Guardiola’s squad in the United States for this summer’s Club World Cup tournament.

That decision could spell the end of Grealish’s four-year spell at the Etihad Stadium, with the Premier League giants ready to cut their losses on him.

Grealish has struggled to break into Guardiola’s starting line-up, so it’s only natural that he will explore the option of earning regular football elsewhere.

The 29-year-old wants to reclaim a place in the England squad ahead of the 2026 World Cup under new manager Thomas Tuchel.

But that dream may be dead in the water if he doesn’t end his nightmare at City.

Grealish featured 32 times across all competitions last season, bagging three goals and five assists. But he only started half of those games.

The former Aston Villa star was named in the starting line-up just seven times in the Premier League.

His chances of reviving his City career are slim, so he’d be better off making a fresh start elsewhere. That opens the door for a summer exit, and Grealish has options.

Grealish was left out of City’s final league fixture at Fulham. After the game, Guardiola confirmed that the club will work with the winger to find the right solution.

That translates to a willingness to sell to the highest bidder this summer, but moving Grealish might be difficult for City, given his exorbitant wages.

A potential loan deal has been mooted, but with two years left on his contract, City would prefer to cash in on him permanently this summer.

While Grealish remains in limbo, City are wasting no time strengthening their squad.
